DAY 3 – EVANGELISM FOCUS

3”This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” (1 Timothy 2:4)

“The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9)

Pray For Someone You Have Grown Convinced Will NEVER Give Their Life to Christ  – Is that person: a blasphemer, a persecutor, an insolent opponent of the Gospel? If so, that was Paul’s description.  And, despite him being the foremost of sinners (1 Timothy 1:15), God did the impossible.  After all, with God all things are possible (Matthew 19:26).

Pray For Red Apple Opportunities This Week – “red apple” opportunities are conversations where the person responds with interest toward the Gospel.  These are often when someone is sharing a struggle in life or is open to discussing “religion” or genuinely seems to be interested as you steer a conversation toward the things of the Lord.  Continue those conversations toward a high view of Christ and the Gospel-hope you have experienced.  Then offer them the same transformation through Christ!

Pray That You Will Delight More In Christ – when evangelism moves from duty and formula to a joy-filled sharing of what Christ has done for you and who you are in Christ, NOW you are sharing something attractive!

Praise For – A God who desired you to be saved…a God who was patient toward you and drew you to Himself.

Praise For – the tension of God’s sovereignty and man’s responsibility.  On one side, people are saved through preaching the Gospel (Romans 10:14-15)…and you and I are called to preach the Gospel.  So, take advantage of the opportunity He gives you today!  On the other side, rest peacefully tonight…knowing that “all that the Father gives to me will come to Me…and…no one can come to Me unless the Father…draws him.  (John 6:37, 44).”  God graciously and providentially uses cracked vessels of clay like you and me to display the light of His Gospel, using us in His perfect timing and His perfect way to draw His elect to Himself.  What a confident place for us to be in…and what a motivation to share the Gospel like the sower of the seed!  May we enjoy seeing the fruit of such labor!
