MEN AT WAR
At Harvest, we recognize that in many respects life is a war. So, it is our desire to equip men with the tools they need to wage that war in a Christ-honoring fashion. In God’s design, He has established men to lead – in the church and in the home.
Join us monthly for our time of worship and equipping. Our monthly Men At War event meets at Harvest on Mondays. The format includes worship through music, through study, through mutual accountability, and worship through enjoying “man” food!
We seek to supplement regular discipleship in small groups for men by providing a monthly gathering of men to get equipped in a male-focused context. The goal is to see lost men saved, saved men matured, and mature men multiplied (Titus 2:1-2, 6-8) all to the glory of God!
MISSION—The mission of Harvest Men’s Ministry is to biblically equip men to be spiritual leaders in their home, church, workplace and community. We accomplish this by affirming the Scriptures' command to make disciples of all nations by reaching them with the gospel, exhorting men to pursue a love for and knowledge of God and His word, and teaching them to obey everything Jesus Christ commanded. We will hold each other accountable to living out Harvest Bible Chapel's "Four Pillars" before the Lord.
VISION—The Men's Ministry is more than just an event or rally. We will provide men with an encouraging process that teaches them how to live lives of authentic manhood as modeled by Jesus Christ and directed by the Word of God and the power of prayer.
MEN AT WAR—"Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love." (1 Corinthians 16:13-14)
The purpose of our ministry is to challenge men to step up with intentional strength and courage to say, "as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."
WHAT TO EXPECT—We meet once a month at the church. We have a fellowship dinner together followed by a time of worship, a message from the Word, and then a small group discussion time with brothers striving to live out the Lord's calling for our lives. The round table groups of men pray together and the brothers are encouraged to follow up with each other during the week. We support, train, encourage, and motivate men to impact their families, friends, and community for the cause of Christ through their God given responsibility of spiritual leadership. We provide encouragement and opportunities for men to serve together in various church projects and outreach events. We grow in the Lord together, encouraging one another to uphold our commitment to faithful involvement.
WHEN WE MEET—Typically, the "Men at War" (at war with sin) meet on the fourth Monday of each month. In addition, we participate in men's retreats and conferences and schedule a few men's fellowship or sporting events as we have opportunity.
